Ford Escort RS2000 Custom. Genuine RS with all the right brackets in the right places. Starts runs and drives very well. Still has a current MOT and can be driven away. We have the V5 2 sets of keys and a fair bit of paperwork showing work done and some old MOTs. Its had 13 owners and done 125000 miles. Its a good useable example. If you want a concourse car then this wont be for you. 

 

Body - Genuine RS shell. Very solid car. Good strut tops, inner wings, sills, arches. Panel gaps are good. Has had a couple of minor repairs in the past which are solid. They are visible but not unsightly. Paintwork is tidy enough. Few small bubbles on door bottoms and lower quarters. Not terribly bad but will need attention at some point. Nosecone to wings could be a slightly better fit but again not major. Overall a good looking old car which can be used as it is.

 

Mechanics - Recently built 2.1 Pinto on Brand new 45 Webers. Engine was done in 2020 during lockdown and has done about 1000 miles since. It goes well and is definitely quicker than standard but not 100 percent sure on the full spec. 5 speed box with new speedo cable and proper mount fitted, facet fuel pump. Battery relocated to the boot.

 

Interior - Flocked dash, rs clocks, aftermarket deep dish steering wheel . recaros retrimmed in leather with matching rear seats. really tidy job. Good uncut door cards.

 

Wheels - 7" replica alloys with good 175/50/13 Yokohama tyres.
